Who We Are

We are a congregation that seeks a closer relationship with Jesus in all areas of our lives.

Our History

In 1881, a small group of dedicated Christians formed what would become First Methodist Church. The church met in the courthouse until a fire destroyed much of the building including the organ and song books that were stored there. This motivated the members of the church to purchase the land where our church stands and build a new building. That building soon became too small and in the fall of 1901 our current church building was dedicated. Much has changed over the last century but the desire of our congregation to know Christ and make Christ known has remained.
